Hivox – Privacy Policy

What data we process

• Account: e-mail, username, display name and password (we store only its hash).
• Messages, photos and files: message content is end-to-end encrypted between devices. The server stores only encrypted data it cannot read. Attachments are stored on our server so they can be delivered.
• Technical data: device identifier and its public encryption key, message times, delivery and read status, call records (who, when, how long – not the content).
• Phone permissions: microphone and camera only for calls and voice messages, Bluetooth only for hidden mode (messages directly between two phones), notifications for new messages.

Location and SOS

The app reads your location only when you send it to a chat yourself (location sharing or the SOS button). It is sent encrypted only to the selected conversation; there is no background tracking.

Voice profile (optional)

For live call captions you may voluntarily create a voice profile, only with your explicit consent. We store only a numeric voiceprint (512 numbers), never the audio itself. You can delete the profile at any time.

Private AI (optional)

AI features (chat summary, translation, reply suggestion, event creation) are always started by you. The text of the selected messages is then processed by our model on the operator's server and the result is returned only to you. The text is not stored or sent to any third party. The app asks for your consent before first use.

Scheduled and disappearing messages

A scheduled message waits encrypted on the server until the chosen time; a short preview (up to 80 characters), visible only to you, is stored with it. Disappearing and view-once messages are deleted by the server after they expire or are viewed.

What the data is used for

Solely to run the service: sign-in, delivery of messages and calls, notifications. We do not sell data, do not use it for advertising and do not share it with third parties, except the notification delivery provider (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging), which receives only a technical device identifier.

Reported content

When you report a message or a user, your app sends the reported text for review. Only the service moderator can see it.

How long we keep data

For as long as the account exists. After the account is deleted we remove account and sign-in data within 30 days. Messages you sent to conversations remain with the other participants (as with other messengers), but without any link to your account.
