Who processes your data

The data controller is HiroArt, the operator of Hivox. Contact: info@hivox.cz.

What data we process

• Account: email and name, optionally a profile photo — to register you and let others find you.
• Messages, photos, files and voice notes: transmitted end-to-end encrypted. We can't see their content. They stay on the server only until delivered, or as long as needed to sync your devices.
• Devices: the list of your linked devices and a token for delivering notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging by Google).
• Location: only when you share it yourself (location sharing, live location, SOS), and only with people you choose.
• Assistant and transcripts: optional. They only process content you hand to them, at the moment you use them.

What we don't do

• We don't show ads and don't sell data.
• We don't use analytics or tracking tools, and this website uses no cookies, apart from the essential login cookie in Hivox Web.
• We have no access to your keys or message content.

Why, and on what legal basis

We process data to provide the service (performance of a contract), to keep it secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest), and to meet legal obligations.

How long

We keep account data for as long as you use your account. After you delete it, we remove the data unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. Write to info@hivox.cz. You can also complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz) or your local authority.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app or via the account deletion page.

Age

Hivox is intended for users aged 18 and over.
